“An Inconvenient Truth” is a depiction of the real world problem of global warming which is hard to receive. The film may be mistaken as a political propaganda simply by the presence of the Ex-Vice president of the US , Mr. Al Gore but the film represents Mr. Gore as a spokesman for global warming. He stands on a stage before a vast screen, in front of the audience. The documentary is based on a speech he has been developing for six years, and is supported by dramatic visuals. He shows the famous photograph "Earthrise," taken from space by the first American astronauts. Then he shows a series of later space photographs, clearly indicating that glaciers and lakes are shrinking, snows are melting, shorelines are retreating .

On June 1st Oita Prefecture began charging for plastic bags in supermarkets. Previously there were no restrictions on plastic bags and customers were able to get plastic bags for free. However, from June 1st, it has become necessary for customers to purchase plastic bags when they buy goods. Within Japan, Toyama prefecture( 富山県 ) was the first prefecture to start charging for plastic bags in April 2008, and from June 1st, every prefecture in Japan has initiated the act to charge for plastic bags, including Oita prefecture.
