THE APU TIMES

Friday, 15 January 2010. Taiwan culture week grand performance was held at the APU millennium hall and was witnessed by some 700 audience. It portrayed a range of Taiwanese regional dances and music along with different wedding styles. Sponsored by the Nature Care Australia, the organizers left no stones unturned to aggrandize this event. Divided into six parts, it included fashion show, different wedding styles, video and a beautiful song to add the icing to the cake.

However, sadly, the fire alarm during the performance caused havoc for a short period of time. The deep seated audiences were compelled to move out of the hall after there was repeated request to vacate the hall from the security. It was later realized that it was not fire, but possibly the result of malfunctioning of the firealarm. After the security officers confirmed this, the audience got back to their cozy seats and enjoyed the rest of the program.

Taiwan culture week was the last installment for the fall semester. Students from ninety seven countries are represented in APU, every semester multicultural weeks are held to show the countries regional culture and life style through different events.
