Fire Alarm Steals the Limelight: Taiwan culture week – 2010

Friday, 15 January 2010. Taiwan culture week grand performance was held at the APU millennium hall and was witnessed by some 700 audience. It portrayed a range of Taiwanese regional dances and music along with different wedding styles. Sponsored by the Nature Care Australia, the organizers left no stones unturned to aggrandize this event. Divided into six parts, it included fashion show, different wedding styles, video and a beautiful song to add the icing to the cake.

On Saturday, November 21, 2009, APU has successfully organized the “Perspectives on a New Era-Japan, America and China” Symposium. This symposium was held at the Millennium Hall in commemorating the APU 10th Anniversary and Confucius Institute 3rd Anniversary.

From 7th to 18th of December this year the UN climate convention has their meeting in Copenhagen, Denmark. Around 192 different countries are joining the meeting and the goal is to agree on measures that can slow down the global warming.

African Week behind curtain

The very first African Week will be organized from 7-11 December 8, 2009 in APU. APU will witness the vibrant social, traditional and cultural aspect of the African continent. Best wishes to the organizers and participants for helping to show a different side of Africa.

Africa Week, the second installment for the fall semester Multicultural Weeks, has thrown the spotlight on African culture and filled the APU campus with an African atmosphere. Starting on Monday, December 7, 2009, African Week will run until Friday, December 11.
