Have you ever seen a female Japanese traditional entertainer? They are generally called Maiko or Geisha. They are well-known as delicate and skillful performers who practise various Japanese arts such as Japanese classical music and dance. According to Susan Tiefenbrun, the geisha tradition is the bastion of Japanese culture, the symbol of the apogee of a nation, and the representation of Japan's most respected values - the search for beauty and the love of the arts.
