また新たにスタートした春セメスター。母国、故郷に帰省した学生。別府に留まりアルバイト、勉強、趣味に集中した学生。そんなAPU生誰しもが久しぶりにAPUに来て気づくのが新たな顔ぶれであろう。そう、また今セメスターも多くの交換留学生がAPUに訪れている。その数は交換留学生７１人と私費留学生１４人あわせて８５人におよび１７カ国５０協定大学から来た多種多様な学生である。そんな学生とすでに友達になった方も多いのではないだろうか。

Dear readers,

Though a month has passed beyond our two and half-month-long winter vacation, the APU Times proudly presents its first and newest edition for the Spring Semester 2010. In the midst of uncertain weather and fluctuating temperature of Mount Jumonjibaru, APU Times family has always been committed to its mission by being aligned to the principle of the free flow of information from the students, by the students and for the students.

２・３月の長期休暇のあいだ帰省していた学生は、バス停の前に新たに設置された、「APUガーデン」を見て驚いたことだろう。この「APUガーデン」とは別に、「藤棚とベンチ」も、大学構内に４か所、設置された。（カフェテリア横、F棟前、ライブラリー横、BⅡ棟横）しかし、藤のツルをはわせて覆っているはずの藤棚の屋根は、どこにも見当たらない。藤棚を見上げ、困惑している学生もしばしば見られる。

For those who went back to their home countries, or did not visit APU during the vacation, the new garden in front of the bus stop should have come as a surprise. Apart from that, four other benches were constructed on the left of cafeteria, entrance of F building, left of library and besides BII building. However, looking at the top of the benches, a lot of students ask the same question, ’where is the roof’?

「生徒自治組織を作ろう。」そのための会議が2月3日に開催された。主催は「student voice」

で参加団体は「OASIS」、「SOSC」、「公認団体会議」そしてオフィスから二名が招かれた。

IMAT students were running around APU campus and the city counting light bulbs and looking in garbage bins over the last week as part of their data mining process to understand the system. They are students of the Master Programs in International Material Flow Management (IMAT).
